Live at The Big Shed: Cathedra in Nottingham

Some gigs you just know are going to be fun to shoot, and this was one of them. I spent the evening behind the lens for Cathedra at The Big Shed at the Trent Navigation in Nottingham, a brilliant spot for live music, with that big, open, buzzy atmosphere that always gives a photographer plenty to work with.

Cathedra were a real pleasure to photograph. There's a particular energy to a band that commits to the room, and they brought it from the first song - the kind of presence and movement that means you're never short of a frame worth taking. Add in the lighting and the crowd feeding off them, and it made for a set I really enjoyed shooting.

Nights like this are exactly why I love photographing live music: a great act, a great venue, and that buzz of chasing the next moment as it happens. A few of my favourites from the evening are below.

Got a gig or event coming up? I'd love to capture it for you. You can see more of my work below and get in touch over at cameron@chxmedia.co.uk
